NovaNano can provide to satellite designers and manufacturers satellite dummies of different sizes and forms, according to the Client’s technical requirements.

The mechanical dummy can be used during the environmental qualification tests. It can also substitute the satellite Flight Model during the Launch Vehicle compatibility tests. Finally, it can be used as the replacement of the satellite Flight Model if required by the Launch Service Operator.

We are able to provide the dummies of various satellite models from 1 to 50kg. Especially for the CubeSat developers, NovaNano has created the CubeSat standard dummies.

We can provide the following dummies off-the-shelf:

• CubeSat 1U
• CubeSat 3U
• CubeSat 3U with deployable solar panels

The satellite dummies, made of the Aluminum 6061 T6 or 7175 T7 alloys, can be provided in two versions: with or without spring plungers (ISO standard).

Standard delivery includes:

• Surface treatment: hard anodizing
• Roughness: Ra=1.6
• Certificate of material
• Surface state measurement report

NovaNano is able to delivery the satellite dummies within two months starting from the purchase order reception.
