The launch date of the first NovaNano launch has been scheduled by Soyuz rocket operators to 19 April! NovaNano technical team has travelled on the week of 21-25 March to the Baikonour Cosmodrome to carry out last preparations for the NovaNano 01 Launch Campaign. During this stay, in the presence of Russian specialists, the FlyMate deployment mechanism has successfully passed final compatibility tests with the Soyuz launch vehicle and is officially GO for the launch! The FlyMate is already integrated on the rocket and awaits to board its CubeSat passenger just few days before the launch.

Stanislaw Ostoja, NovaNano Chairman, announced today that NovaNano will provide its first launch brokering service to its South Korean customer: the Open Source Satellite Initiative (OSSI). The contract, signed with OSSI director, Mr. Hojun Song, foresees the launch of 1 CubeSat class nanosatellite into low earth orbit on the Soyuz rocket launched from Baikonour cosmodrome. NovaNano provides the access to space for the South Korean customer through a brokering agreement with TsSKB-Progress and with the use of its in-house developed separation mechanism for nanosatellites - the FlyMate. The launch date has been rescheduled to April 2013 due to delays of the Soyuz launch vehicle primary passenger.

OSEO Innovation (National Innovation Agency) grants NovaNano the Prêt Participatif d'Ammorçage (PPA) low-interest loan. The PPA loan shall allow NovaNano to prepare the first investment round.
